I LOVE my job...I do!

I truly do...and that's pretty hard to say for other jobs I've had:( slicing bagels not so much ;) Yesterdays work day was incredible, I love to feel alive!!! Creativity and play time always does it for me! So I had a photo shoot with my beautiful best friend which is always a shit ton of fun, then to Whole Foods for a samwhich and off to eat in the park, a little frolic in the sun, then more photos on a sunny perfect 75 degree spring day...hope you like some of these photos by the way, I was all about these DIY ripped up and bleached stained jeans-80's metal band much? Ha. Any ways here is what's soon to come to the shop. PS so I'm off traveling this summer (wooohooo so terribly excited) then moving, so there may be a few months of no action, but I'll more than likely come back from travels all inspired and energized!!!!!! xoxo

WOWY! Really??!?!

Holy crap it has been some monthssssss..... I've taken such a loooong break to focus on grad school that I literally was itching in my own skin to do this photo shoot, to be behind the camera and have a blast stylin' and showing you guys some of the vintage I've found over the past 3 months... FINALLY, here is a sneak peek! YAHOOOOO....I wish I had more to share, as this is such a passion of mine, from the hunting, to the styling, to the photo shoots to collaborating with my amazing friends. I'm going to try my best to keep things coming your way over the next few months with the spring/summer finds, but this summer may be a dry spell since I'll be overseas for all of June and July (a good thing, much needed holiday and to visit family ;) well I hope you like what you see...

long time no see :(

AHHHHH such a long hiatus it makes me sad! To update the shop has been slightly on pause, slightly meaning not bringing the action packed goods weekly like I try to do, due in large part because I've been studying for this beautiful wonderful thing called the GRE or hell...for Grad school! Daunting and unpleasant standardized test to say the least, but alas it must be done and this is why SHV has been a lil slower than normal bringing you the vintage finds! But the test is nearing, and the shop has some goodies to share and more to come in the next weeks! Then in December/January the vintage finds should be back to regularly scheduled programming ;) But in the meanwhile here are a few goodies that will be up soon, and if you haven't checked out the shop, well take a look. xoxoxo Mavs

what's been new?

hmmm, always something new right? Currently sitting here, sipping my delicious morning coffee from the little ma and pa shop around the corner, man is the coffee delicious, and soaking up the morning!

About the shop, there are new threads always, setting up a photoshoot in the next week (hopefully!) and share the goods with you! On the major hunt for boots and booties, man are they getting harder and harder to find in California...ahhh vintage in general seems to be harder in the months of August and September (the transition). But I rarely give up that easy, so not to worry! And... well about me, it is about time I got on a plane, train and took off some where, need to travel again, see different cultures, meet new people, eat new foods, smell new smells, basically use all my senses and be out of my element, being taught new things! Central America anyone? And if anyone has any suggestions on where to stay, or what countries to visit (looking into Costa Rica and Nicaragua) please email me!

Of course I say that, and we all love vintage, which is older, wiser, and more comfortable being herself and being unique than any other forms of clothing we can get our hands on nowadays, besides couture hand made digs!

So I haven't been able to find as many vintage goodies as I would have wanted this past month or so in my fantasy world, you know the one; we live on pink clouds and we have a magic wand and POOF all things turn to our favor, yeah that one :) in THAT world I would have come out with tons and tons of vintage finds to share with you all, especially after a whole month of searching! RIGHT?! RIGHT! Nope wrong, but I have found some amazing gems along the way, and had an amazing road trip, and just an awesome month of August!
